Join Resilient Maldives 2045: Prosperity for All, a visionary initiative led by Nexia Maldives to shape the nation’s future. We are seeking motivated volunteers to support project activities across the Maldives.
Available Volunteer Roles:
- Stakeholder outreach
- Event support and logistics
- Documentation and note-taking
- Data collection and polling
- Multimedia and photography
- Running independent activities in the islands

Flexible Volunteering: Volunteers can contribute from their current location, allowing to make an impact locally while supporting a national initiative.
General Requirements
- Willing to commit time and effort for the duration of the specific activity (e.g., Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), consultations, community outreach)
- Available to volunteer during the period of September to December, as activities will be spread out over these months
- Willing to work in a team and follow instructions from coordinators
- Good command of English and Dhivehi
- Knowledge of the current economic and social context of the Maldives is an advantage
- Volunteers under the age of 18 require consent from a parent or guardian.
Qualities We’re Looking For
- Genuine interest in national development and community engagement
- Respect for diverse viewpoints and inclusive dialogue
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Curious, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Comfortable speaking in public or facilitating small group discussions (for specific roles)
- Open-minded and non-partisan in discussions
Preferred Qualifications (Optional, Role-dependent)
- Prior experience in community engagement, research, or facilitation (for resource persons)
- Educational background in social sciences, public policy, environment, economics, etc. (for research volunteers or note-takers)
- Digital literacy and familiarity with tools like Zoom, Google Docs (for virtual tasks)
- Experience working with island communities, youth, or special interest groups
- Able to travel to designated islands or attend virtual meetings
Special Roles May Require:
- Note-takers / Documentation volunteers: Strong writing and summarizing skills
- Discussion facilitators: Prior facilitation or teaching experience
- Outreach volunteers: Confidence in mobilizing community members and building participation
- Interpreters: Fluency in Dhivehi and English, including translation ability
